Babs studied at Cardiff School of Art and Design, followed by the DCCoI Ceramics Skills Course in Co Kilkenny. She works solely with porcelain to create wheel-thrown tableware glazed in soft contemporary colours.  Babs is based in the wild north coast of Northern Ireland in a converted Georgian Barn and Stables and set up The Blackheath Pottery in 2021.

The main inspiration for Babs’ work comes from people gathering,  chatting, and sharing stories often over tea and cake.
