Welcome to Craft NI Gallery

Welcome to Craft NI Gallery, Belfast!

Whether it is your first time in our Gallery or a returning visitor, here is what you need to know about us!

The Gallery is located within Belfast’s Cathedral Quarter at 115 -119 Royal Avenue and shows locally made craft, applied art and design from more than fifty contemporary Northern Irish makers.

Craft NI Gallery is Craft NI’s retail and exhibition space, and directly supports established and emerging Northern Ireland artists and designer-makers. Craft NI promotes and supports the craft sector across Northern Ireland, as an integral and entrepreneurial part of the region’s economy and culture, and receives funding from the Arts Council of Northern Ireland.

In the Gallery you will find a carefully curated range of jewellery, ceramics, textiles, hand-blown glass, wood and paper, as well as beautiful one-off and limited-edition decorative pieces.

If you are interested to see, learn about, engage with and buy craft, Craft NI Gallery is a must-see destination!

Its great selection of handmade Northern Irish contemporary craft will make the visit worthwhile – enjoy a browse and admire work from well-known Northern Irish makers such as Jack Doherty, Rory Shearer, Scott Benefield and Andrea Spencer, John McKeag, Cameron & Breen, Celine Traynor and many others. The Gallery’s elegant display of jewellery, ceramics, glass, textiles, wood and paper make is a perfect spot to treat yourself, find a unique decorative piece for your home or a thoughtful gift for a special occasion. There’s a great story and a skilled maker behind every piece so make sure you ask the knowledgeable staff for more insight into the work on display!

The Gallery has an exhibition space and a varied exhibition programme throughout the year – a great incentive to come visit and see what is new on the art and craft scene in Northern Ireland.

It is also close to a vibrant array of arts and cultural venues including the Mac, Black Box and Belfast Exposed. And don’t forget the Cathedral Quarter’s legendary hospitality, from the luxurious Merchant Hotel to local craft coffee shops and cafés and lively bars, all make Craft NI Gallery well worth a visit.
