Porcelain Inlaid Brooch. Handmade by Anne Butler in Co. Antrim, Northern Ireland.

This Brooch is inspired by the Balinese saput poleng, a black and white textile which symbolises the Balinese appreciation of opposites and mutual dualism.  Differences must be embraced in order to create harmony and balance.  There is no high without low, no joy without sorrow, no night without day.
