About the maker: 

Andrea Spencer was born 1971 in Hertfordshire, England and graduated from Edinburgh College of Art in 1993 with a BA (hons) in Architectural Glass.

“I Find Much Of My Inspiration In Nature, Investigating Natural Forms That Are Either Transformed Into Symbolic Objects Or Abstracted To Create Images.”

Throughout her work Spencer maintains an emphasis on the unique properties of glass, exploiting the intrinsic qualities of transparency, fragility and fluidity inherent within the material through the making process.

She currently maintains a studio in Ballintoy, Northern Ireland with her partner Scott Benefield.
