‘Constructed’ pin sterling silver by Egle Banyte. Handmade in co. Tyrone, Northern Ireland.
With its strong angular shapes and 3D construction this pin is a wonderful example of contemporary design. Egle achieves a wonderful balance between the geometric dark shapes and the lightness of the open links and the invisible clasp.

About the maker:
Egle Banyte is an award winning jewellery designer and maker based in West Tyrone, Ireland. Her work is inspired by her youth in Lithuania, Baltic tradition, Constructivism, and Northern European aesthetics. Egle’s work is handcrafted using traditional techniques and materials, yet manifesting a contemporary style. In 2018, Egle was awarded a Goldsmiths’ Company Precious Metal Grant; the New Designers Goldsmiths’ Company Jewellery Award; and a Future Makers Award by the Design and Crafts Council of Ireland. In 2019, she was awarded the RDS Craft Award.
