This oval tangle ring with a single band makes a real statement. Hand chased lines criss cross the surface, interspersed with rounded punch marks, reminiscent of seaweed strewn sandy beaches. The ring has a hammered rounded band for comfort and a smooth polished edge to catch the light. The chased oval sits lengthways on the finger.

About the maker:

British jeweller Kate Bajic exhibits and sells her jewellery in the UK and internationally. She works from her home studio in North Leicestershire, drawing on a lifelong interest in the natural world as her main inspiration.

Through observation, photography and drawing, Kate translates aspects into her jewellery using traditional hand fabrication techniques. These include hand chasing patterns and piercing complex shapes. This gentle and involved approach allows slight imperfections created during the making process to bring a richness to her jewellery: something Kate celebrates and hopes brings a vibrancy to her work.
