Wax Burner-Navy

£35.00

Made by Rachel Leary

Wax Burner glazed in layered neutrals of White and Navy. Handthrown by Rachel Leary in her studio in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. Rachel’s functional wares are made with porcelain clay by way of the slip casting method. Plaster moulds are handmade by the artist to then pour liquid clay or ‘slip’ into. When the mould absorbs some of the moisture and any excess clay is poured out, a hollow clay form will be left. Each form is then fired, glazed and finished to complete Rachel’s unique designs.

Approximate size: diameter 8cm, height 11.5cm.
