Spore stud earrings, handmade in oxidised sterling silver and 24ct gold plate by Abbie Dixon in Co. Down, Northern Ireland.

These unusual little earrings were created using electroforming. Metal is “grown” using electricity and produces beautiful natural, formations. The contrasting concave centre has been ground, polished and gold plated. The shapes remind me of spores I have often seen on the back of fern leaves.
