A bespoke silver necklace featuring two flax flowers, hand made by Claire Mooney in Co. Down , Northern Ireland.

Individually hand cut from sterling silver sheet, stamped and formed, these Flax Flowers rest upon a silver pendant which is great for wearing everyday or for special occasions.

A nod to Ireland’s history of Linen production and the delicate yet beautiful flax flower. These pieces celebrating this strong and enduring flax plant. Although each flower lasts for a day, they are bold and bright which this necklace captures for years to come.

Measurements: 4cm x 1.5cm, chain length is 18 inches.

About the maker:

Claire is a jeweller, silversmith and artist based by Annalong; at the foot of the Mourne Mountains. Rural life and the landscapes she grew up around have a strong influence on her practice, something she shows through the use of texture, form and material in her metalwork. Graduating from Ulster University’s Ceramics, Jewellery and Silversmithing degree course in Summer 2018, Claire had the chance to study abroad in Finland as well as exhibit her work as part of UU’s End of Year show and the prestigious New Designer’s exhibition in London.
