An exquisite keepsake box with drawer made using Pippy Oak by John Piekaar in Co. Antrim.

Exceptional clean lines and beautiful wood grain add a design element to its functionality. The drawer is lined with soft fabric for a luxurious finish and has a magnetic connector for a smooth open and close feature. The drawer can be opened from either end and can be completely removed from its surround for ease of use. This beautiful box can be used for jewellery or any treasured keepsake. Four simple beads sit on the base of the piece to lift the box subtly from the ground for stability and protection.

As a Designer / Craftsman of fine contemporary furniture, John Piekaar works mainly with private clients. Work is also undertaken in collaboration with architects and interior designers.

Inspiration is taken from the natural world or architectural details. Sometimes the smallest scraps of wood can inspire the next chest of drawers or hall table.
